Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET), Has Released The JET On Its Official Website For The JPSC.The Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) application form has started from 16 September 2025, and candidates can apply until 06 October 2025.  Candidates must check the complete details for the JET 2025 provided below Link.

Eligibility Criteria for JET : Qualifying Examination

  • Unreserved/EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.The BC-I/BC-II/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates of Jharkhand state only who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this JET
  • Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for Assistant Professor and admission in Ph.D only after they have passed their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC-I/BC-II/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates). Such candidates must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of JET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified
  • The Ph.D degree holders whose Master’s level examination have been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post-Graduation only. In case the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of JET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR Test held on a regular basis JET

Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET)

This Test determines the eligibility of candidates for Appointment of Assistant Professor and admission in Ph.D in Universities/Colleges situated in Jharkhand. The validity of JET Certificate for the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and admission in Ph.D will be forever

Mode of Examination :

  • The Examination shall be conducted in OMR (pen and paper) mode only
  • The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. There will be no break between papers
  • Paper-I (100 Marks) : The questions in Paper-I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate
  • Paper-II : This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge
  • Note-03 hours (180 minutes) without any break. All the questions are compulsory

  • Scan their photograph, signature,that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications
  • Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. JPSC may send call letters for the examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile number before applying online and must maintain that email account and mobile number.
