Seat Details

It is hereby notified that free applications are invited for the entrance examination for admission of 100 (one hundred) healthy boys of the age of 10 to 12 years in class-6 of Netarhat Residential School, Netarhat in the session 2025-26. 

Examination Pattern

1. Netarhat entrance examination will be two-tier which will be held in two shifts (2.5-2.5 hours) on the same day in each divisional headquarters of Jharkhand state. Preliminary examination (Paper-1) which will be held in the first shift will be objective in nature in which multiple choice questions will be asked. This examination will be conducted in OMR Sheet and there will be no provision of negative marking. Preliminary examination will be of qualifying nature only. 

2. Main examination (Paper-2) which will be held in the second shift will be subjective in nature. Firstly, on the basis of the result of preliminary examination (Paper-1), 5 times the total number of seats (total 500) students will be selected in the light of reservation system applicable in the state as per merit and only their answer sheets of main examination (Paper-2) will be evaluated.

3. On the basis of marks obtained in the main examination (Paper-2) of the 500 selected students, again in the order of merit, in the light of reservation system applicable in the state, 1.5 times the total number of seats (total 150) students will be selected for physical examination cum psychological test so that the ability of the students to adjust physically and mentally in the residential structure of the school can be assessed.

3. In the physical examination, age will also be checked along with health. The decision of the medical board in determining the age will be final and acceptable to all. Thereafter, out of the students who are successful in the physical examination cum psychological test, 100 (one hundred) students finally selected as per merit and reservation system will be enrolled after verification of all certificates/documents

The eligibility criteria/conditions required to appear in the entrance examination are as follows:

  • It is mandatory for the candidate to be a native/local resident of Jharkhand state. In this regard, it is mandatory to attach the local resident certificate issued by the competent authority
  • Those whose age is not less than 10 years and not more than 12 years on 01 August 2025, i.e. those born between 01.08.2013 and 31.07.2015 (both dates inclusive). It is mandatory to attach the birth certificate issued by the competent authority
  • The candidate should have passed class 5 or higher class examination from any recognized school under Jharkhand state. As proof of this, he must compulsorily attach the passing certificate of class 5 or higher class signed by the headmaster of his school
  • If the candidate belongs to the reserved category, it is mandatory to attach the caste certificate issued by the competent authority such as: Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class/Economically Backward Class certificate
  • All the above certificates are mandatory. In the absence of certificates, the application will be automatically considered cancelled. It should be noted that it is mandatory to verify the authenticity of all the certificates during the nomination
